Season 1 (2018):Based on Dan Simmons’s 2007 novel, this season dramatizes the harrowing journey of the British Royal Navy’s Franklin Expedition of 1845. The crew, aboard HMS Erebus and HMS Terror, becomes icebound in the Arctic and faces not only the brutal environment but also a mysterious predator. The narrative explores themes of survival, fear, and the unknown.
Season 2 – “The Terror: Infamy” (2019):Set during World War II, this season delves into a series of bizarre deaths haunting a Japanese American community. As Chester Nakayama and his family endure internment, they confront a malevolent entity responsible for the tragedies. The season intertwines historical injustices with supernatural horror.

Season 3 – “The Terror: Devil in Silver” (Upcoming in 2025):Scheduled for release in 2025, the third season adapts Victor LaValle’s novel “The Devil in Silver.” The story centers on Pepper, a working-class man unjustly confined to a psychiatric hospital. Within its walls, he confronts not only the challenges posed by fellow patients and enigmatic staff but also a demonic presence. Dan Stevens leads the cast, with Karyn Kusama directing the initial episodes.
