The second season of *The Day of the Jackal* continues the taut, high-stakes narrative that captivated viewers in its debut, plunging deeper into a world of covert operations, fractured loyalties, and moral ambiguity. Eddie Redmayne reprises his role as the enigmatic assassin known as the Jackal, now grappling with shifting alliances and enemies both old and new.

After the explosive finale of Season 1, the Jackal is forced to confront a dual crisis: mending the broken bond with his estranged wife, Nuria (Úrsula Corberó), while dealing with the treachery of his former handler, Timothy Winthrop (Charles Dance), who betrayed him during a critical mission. Season 2 peels back more layers of the Jackal’s guarded persona, exposing the emotional cost of a life defined by silence, violence, and survival.

The ensemble cast returns with Eleanor Matsuura as Zina Jansone, Chukwudi Iwuji as Osita Halcrow, Lia Williams as Isabel Kirby, Sule Rimi as Paul Pullman, and Florisa Kamara as Jasmine Pullman. Lashana Lynch’s Bianca will not return, her arc having reached its conclusion.
