The lifeguards are back, and this time, the stakes are higher than bikinis and beach patrol. Mitch Buchannon (Dwayne Johnson) and Matt Brody (Zac Efron) return to lead Baywatch when a new threat emerges: a criminal syndicate using the coast for smuggling operations.

When a series of mysterious drownings reveals a larger conspiracy, the Baywatch team springs into action. Priyanka Chopra reprises her role as the cunning Victoria Leeds, escaping from prison and plotting revenge. Alexandra Daddario leads the new recruits, balancing comedy with intense training sequences.

The film blends unbridled comedy with unbridled action: speedboat chases, jet ski battles, and lifeguards parachuting into the ocean to stop a yacht robbery. Brody struggles with maturity, Mitch struggles with control, and together they rediscover that Baywatch is about more than heroism: it’s about family.

The climax takes place during a huge beach festival, where Leeds launches an attack with explosives hidden under the pier. The Baywatch crew, armed only with courage (and some ridiculous gadgets), stops his plan in explosive fashion.
The film ends with Mitch finally admitting that Brody has grown up, sort of, and the crew united, ready for the next wave of mayhem.
