Wednesday 2 (2025) Official Trailer

The acclaimed supernatural mystery series Wednesday returns for a second season, once again blending gothic horror with sharp, dark humor. Inspired by the iconic Wednesday Addams from The Addams Family, the show was created by Alfred Gough and Miles Millar, with Jenna Ortega leading a stellar cast that includes Catherine Zeta-Jones, Luis Guzmán, Isaac Ordonez, Gwendoline Christie, Riki Lindhome, Jamie McShane, Fred Armisen, and Christina Ricci.
Visionary filmmaker Tim Burton directed four episodes of the first season and served as executive producer, bringing his signature eerie aesthetic to the halls of Nevermore Academy. The story centers on Wednesday Addams as she investigates a string of supernatural occurrences, unsettling murders, and buried secrets within the academy’s haunted walls.
Burton’s connection to the Addams universe dates back decades—having declined the 1991 film and shelved an earlier stop-motion adaptation, his official involvement in the series was confirmed in October 2020. Filming took place in Romania between September 2021 and March 2022.
Premiering on November 23, 2022, Wednesday received critical acclaim, especially for Ortega’s captivating performance. Within just two weeks, it became the third most-watched English-language series in Netflix history.
Season 2 promises a deeper descent into the shadows, with returning characters, new faces, and darker mysteries waiting to challenge Wednesday Addams like never before.
