The Mummy 4 (2025)

– First Trailer | Brendan Fraser, Rachel Weisz
Fans of The Mummy franchise may have reason to celebrate, as speculation rages about a possible fourth installment with the expected return of Brendan Fraser and Rachel Weisz. While Universal has not made any announcements yet, several sources indicate that initial talks are underway about a new sequel that would bring together the beloved stars of the original movies.
The latest installment of the franchise, The Mummy: Dragon Emperor’s Tomb (2008), saw Rick O’Connell (Fraser) face off against the resurrected Chinese warlord (Jet Li). However, the absence of Weisz, who was replaced by Maria Bello as Evelyn O’Connell, left many fans disappointed. Since then, there have been numerous rumors about a fourth film, but nothing has materialized, so far.
With Brendan Fraser’s career resurgence following his Oscar-winning performance in The Whale (2022), many believe Universal is eager to tap into renewed audience interest in the actor. Also, Rachel Weisz remains a fan favorite, and bringing back the original duo could be the key to reviving the magic of the franchise.
