Infinite Storm (2022)

Infinite Storm is a drama adventure film directed by Małgorzata Szumowska and Michał Englert, based on the true story of Pam Bales, a search-and-rescue volunteer. The screenplay, written by Josh Rollins, is inspired by the article High Places: Footprints in the Snow Lead to an Emotional Rescue by Ty Gagne.

The film stars Naomi Watts as Pam Bales, who sets out on a hike up Mount Washington but encounters a fierce storm. During her descent, she discovers a stranded and incoherent man, whom she names “John” (Billy Howle). Together, they face life-threatening challenges as Pam fights to bring them both to safety. The story also delves into Pam’s personal grief, with flashbacks revealing the loss of her two daughters.
