In Luca 2, the sequel expands on the vibrant, picturesque coastal town of Portorosso, bringing new characters and adventures while retaining the core theme of friendship, self-discovery, and embracing differences. The movie picks up a few years after the events of the first film, where Luca, now a bit older and more confident, has been living part-time on the surface while also staying connected to his underwater family.

A new character, Isabella, another young sea monster who has grown up hearing tales of Luca’s adventures, seeks out Luca and Alberto, asking for their help in uniting the sea monster communities against an impending crisis.
