In Raya and the Last Dragon 2 (2025), the peaceful kingdom of Kumandra is once again threatened by an ancient evil, and only Raya, the Dragon Warrior, and her companions can stop it. Set several years after the defeat of the Druun, Kumandra has flourished under the united tribes, and Raya (voiced by Kelly Marie Tran) has taken on a new role as a protector of the realm. But a new darkness stirs beneath the surface, as a mysterious force from the depths of the ocean begins to rise, threatening the fragile peace that has been restored.

The dragon Sisu (voiced by Awkwafina), now in her restored form, joins Raya once again, but this time they must find new allies across the land to combat an even greater evil: the Tide of Shadows, a monstrous sea creature that seeks to envelop the world in eternal darkness. As Raya embarks on a new quest to gather ancient artifacts and awaken lost powers, she uncovers long-forgotten secrets about her lineage and the true nature of the dragons.

Throughout their journey, Raya and her friends will not only face formidable monsters but also the internal struggles of loyalty, trust, and the cost of sacrifice. As they battle to save their world, Raya must learn to balance her duty as a warrior with her desire for personal peace, and ultimately, discover what it truly means to be a leader.
